Guide Dogs Australia’s mission is to ‘assist people who are blind or have low vision gain the freedom and independence to move safely and confidently around their communities and to fulfil their potential’. They provide their services to anyone who is in need of them, at no cost to the individual, regardless of whether that person has government funding or not. As such, they rely on the support of the community to fund their programs.
World Animal Protection
World Animal Protection's mission is to Move the world to protect animals and their vision is to create a world where animals live free from suffering.
World Animal Protection:
• ends the needless suffering of animals;
• influences decision makers to put animals on the global agenda;
• helps the world see how important animals are to all of us;
• inspires people to change animals' lives for the better, and
• moves the world to protect animals.
Burrumbuttock Hay Runners
In 2014 Brendan ‘Bumpa’ Farrell heard about a farmer in Bourke (NSW) that was struggling in the drought. He contacted the farmer and offered to bring him a truck load of hay to help him out. From that the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners was born. Since that date in 2014 they have completed 11 successful hay runs to help drought affected farmers all over NSW & QLD.
